It’s bad enough when your Gmail Inbox is overflowing, but when the whole screen LOOKS full, your inbox can feel like a stressy messy place to cast your eyes and spend your time.
Instead of throwing out your old Gmail account and opening clean, empty, new one – there are some things you can do to tidy up the interface and give you a bit more visual peace.
Tip #1: Getting to Inbox Zero is an easier task than you think. You can follow the steps in this free Inbox Zero video tutorial and get your inbox down to a dull roar in under 20 minutes.
Tip #2: Clean up the webmail interface you spend so much time in, by hiding Meet / Chat / Hangouts from your sidebar if you don’t use them within your Gmail.

- Click the Gear (upper right) >
- See all settings >
- Chat and Meet tab >
- Click the “off” radio button in the Chat section,
- Click the “Hide the Meet section in the main menu” radio button in the Meet section >
- Click the Save Changes button at the bottom

Tip #3: Tidy your labels so only the ones you need often are showing.
